The PJC Speaker's Luncheon is back!
The Providence Jewelers Club is excited to announce the "Speaker's Luncheon" return after a long hiatus. Please join us at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Kirkbrae Country Club, as we welcome Rhode Island Congressional Candidate Allan Fung.
In the past, at our luncheon, politicians and business leaders discussed topics that are related to the jewelry industry. Past speakers have included business leader John Hazen White (Taco Mfg), colorful and controversial Providence Mayor Buddy Cianci, and Gubernatorial Candidate General Treasurer Gina Raimondo. This year presented a unique opportunity that prompted the luncheon's return.
Congressman Jim Langevin has served the state of Rhode Island for the past 21 years in one of the two Rhode Island Congressional seats. In early 2022, Congressman Langevin announced that he would not seek re-election, scrambling the Rhode Island political landscape and opening the door for candidates on both sides of the aisle. This drew national attention to our little state's congressional election.
Mayor Fung is uniquely and keenly aware of the history and importance of the Rhode Island Jewelry Industry. Please join us as we present Congressional Candidate, former Cranston Mayor Allan Fung. Mayor Fung will discuss the current political climate, the current economic climate, and his overview as a 2022 candidate for Congress.
A Q & A will follow.
Tickets are $55 for PJC members and $65 for non-members and may be purchased at SPEAKER'S LUNCHEON - Providence Jewelers Club.
